AoBR continues & toys

Got most of the marines base coated yesterday, today I got a badab black wash on them. Also today in the mail I got the mkII predator that I won on ebay.

Tomorrow hope to get some detail work in on the marines and start in the Dread and whirlwind. I might have to get the Pews built for Sunday.

I cut out, cleaned, all the Marine models form the Assault on Black Reach box.
All the gun barrels are drilled out.

Tomorrow I prime, and try to get a base coat and wash down on them. Sunday I hope to get some of the detail work done and ~maybe~ base them....

Army is in, addiction in overdrive

Well all of my travel for the near future is complete. From 0 miles to almost gold elite membership on continental, and upgraded memberships with Hilton, Marriott and Hyatt as well, thanks company. I still don't have a ton of free time, but atleast I will be home.

But I got me some Nids, it was a prepainted army I got from Bluetable painting. Not very competitive, but sure I can have some fun with it, and built it out alittle. I have been following alot of people on youtube that are really getting me wanting to play my Ultramarines again. So I picked up Assault on Blackreach and the paints I'll need to get started with those.

My problem again is priming! I have no real place to do it. So before the cold sets in, I am going to buy up some models and take them over to my parents to prime up, and dry. Going to go with by the book paint scheme for them, dead forever are the cow marines of the past.

Picked up my rule book, and Tyranid codex today, hooray for no more crappy quality PDF's
Gonna start shopping around for deals on model kits and bits, got some time with my travel coming up.

750pts I shouldn't have to worry too much about pesky land raiders right away.
Rulebook should be in tomorrow, I will get the Tyranid Codex also, and maybe a box if they have.

Leaning towards running nids

Been trolling around ebay, thank god it wasn't around when I was first playing.

It has begun!

Went and ordered new 40k rulebook last night. I just don't know what I am going to play. Always been a Ultramarine player. Been thinking about some Tyranids in place of another marine army. I have been watching alot of videos on youtube, two smoking bolters in particular, but also the rest of 40k nation. Really looking forward to painting again.
I managed to find some really old models. Old style predetor, dark angel dread, and grey hunter squad. Might seeing about ebaying some of that, since the dread and grey hunters are pewter.
